Line-up
The album's third, Turn Back, marked a return to the classic sextet style of previous albums and was a more ferocious, consistent effort that had an edge that was more pronounced than Hydra. The more experimental sound of Turn Back reflected the growth of the band. Drummer Bobby Kimball's increased proficiency was evident in the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature.
